Anthony “Tony” Panaway joined the New Birth of Freedom team as District Executive for the Indian Rock District on October 10, 2016.
Tony is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a concentration in United States History and a Minor in Economics.
Though new to the Scouting profession, Tony brings to our council years of Scouting experience as both a youth and an adult. As a youth, Tony earned his Arrow of Light and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. As an adult, Tony has volunteered on a variety of district and council event staffs in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council. There, Tony also served for seven years on the camp staff at Camp Acahela. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Program Director and completed certifications in Camp Administration through the National Camping School.
