Family FOS Campaign Almost There – 94%!
We’re almost there! Pledges to the annual Family Friends of Scouting campaign through June 9 total $207,411, which is 93.9% of the $221,000 goal for the Districts phase of the campaign.
The New Birth of Freedom Council conducts this campaign each year, asking Scouting parents to help financially support the council’s operations and continued service to youth.
For those units that have held presentations thus far, results are up by $58,976 compared to last year.
Congratulations to the four districts have now achieved their 2011 FOS goals – Oliver Perry (117.7% of goal), First Capital (103.3%), Frontier (102.5%) and Indian Steps (100.7%). Adventure District is also nearing its objective at 90.3%. Plans call for the Family FOS campaign to wrap up this month.
Our thanks to everyone who has already made their 2011 FOS contribution and to our council’s outstanding team of volunteer presenters who have busy visiting unit meetings throughout the council to explain the need and ask parents and family members for their financial support. If your unit’s presentation is still to come, your pledge is important in helping the Council to build financial strength so it can provide the resources necessary to make our Scouting programs in south-central Pennsylvania the best they can be. Renewal mailings are also being sent to past contributors who have not yet made a pledge this year. If you haven’t made your contribution for 2011 just yet – please make your commitment this month and help our council achieve 100% of our goal!
