The 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will be one of your most memorable Scouting experiences. Lodge Officer Elections – Fall Fellowship

At the Lodge Fellowship, the election for the 2012 lodge officers will be held.   For detailed information on the election procedures, please view the lodge bylaws on the “Officers” page. A few important reminders for those wishing to run for lodge office: Candidates for each office shall submit a candidacy petition form by 8/30/2011 as determined by the Lodge Adviser.     No nomination forms will be taken from the floor the day of the election. Unit Election Period Closes

April 15th is an important deadline within our lodge.   This date marks the conclusion of the first unit election period that begun on January 1st.   This deadline is included in our Lodge Bylaws and Unit Election Procedures.   This deadline is designed to ensure that all election forms are processed and candidate contact information is included in our database before the Ordeal Weekend Registration Form is sent to each candidate in the mail.  The Summer Unit Election Period will open and close in conjunction with the New Birth of Freedom Boy Scout Summer Camp season.    Units that have not yet requested an election within the past year have the opportunity to hold an election during this election period.    Elections can be held at either Camp Tuckahoe or Hidden Valley Scout Reservation during your unit’s Boy Scout Resident Camp Week (not available … Read entire article »

Gov. Tom Corbett Visits HVSR

Lodge Chief Meets Governor Just as any other day,  the dew began to evaporate and the sun breeched the ridge of the mountains overlooking Hidden Valley Scout Reservation.   Scouts, scouters and members of the community filled the dining hall to await the individual that would make this ordinary day, extraordinary.   The New Birth of Freedom Council, Oliver Perry District was honored to have Governor Tom Corbett as their keynote speaker at the district fundraising breakfast.
