Year-Round Camping Opportunities
When summer camp season season ends at Tuckahoe, the fun and Scouting adventure continues all year long! Tuckahoe is blessed with outstanding facilities that will provide a comfortable home-away-from-home in fall, winter and spring.
Tuckahoe is home to eight state-of-the-art, spacious lodges. Four of our cabins can accommodate up to 40 persons for sleeping, with smaller capacity facilities also available for units of all sizes. Two of our cabins, the Frontier Fort and Medieval Castle, are designed especially for Cub Scout packs to utilize with indoor plumbing, heat, restrooms and showers.
Tuckahoe is also an extremely popular spot to stay for Scouting groups that are visiting the south-central Pennsylvania area to tour the Gettysburg National Military Park or other local attractions. Year-round camp facilities are available most weekends from the time summer camp closes in mid-August until the camp reopens for the summer in early June.
There are weekends when the camp is used for council or district activities, so your best bet is to check availability by calling the Camping Services office at (717) 432-5232 before submitting a reservation. You can also check out our reservations chart on-line. As the website chart may slightly lag behind actual reservations, it is recommended that you call the Camping Services office before placing any reservation or sending a deposit.
Demand for use of the cabin facilities has traditionally been very high. The council has established a reservations policy that prioritizes use of Cub World facilities by Cub Scout packs as well as establishing an annual timetable for reservations by in-council, out-of-council and non-Scouting groups. Please review our reservations policy by clicking here.
We’ve made a great deal of information available about our year-round facilities here in this section. To learn more about the facilities, fee schedules and other information about year-round use of Camp Tuckahoe, please check out any of the links given below.
