Starting May 19th at 9:30am, the New Birth of Freedom Council will be activating the Year Round Camping Reservation System in Tentaroo. This means that units will be able to make offseason reservations at Camp Tuckahoe, Hidden Valley Scout Reservation, Camp Conewago, and Wizard Scout Ranch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
When the reservation system opens on May 19th, units will be able to make reservations from June 1, 2017 until June 30th, 2019—for the first time you will be able to make reservations 2 years in advance!
To make a registration, log in to your unit account at https://nbf.tentaroo.com. On the left hand side, you will be able to create trips for your unit, sorted by facility. Tentaroo provides a description of all of the available facilities at each camping property, shows availability for the facility, and allows your unit to make reservations online.
Some important notes for the launch of Tentaroo are:
- You will not have to stand in line at Program Launch to make a reservation; however, there will be computers set up at Program Launch to help you make your reservations if you choose to wait until then.
- Reservations are not finalized until a deposit is received. You can make your deposit 1) online with a credit card or 2) by checking out with an Echeck. You can make a reservation using your unit account; however, you will need to call the Mechanicsburg Service Center to verify the amount on account and to process the transaction. (ONLY PUTTING THE RESERVATION IN YOUR CART DOES NOT PROCESS THE RESERVATION. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION)
- Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations require a deposit of 50% of the entire reservation paid at check.
- Reservations already made at Conewago and Wizard from May 2017 until August 31st, 2017 will be automatically added to your Tentaroo account. You will not need to make any adjustments to the reservation.
