Five New Silver Beaver Recipients to Be Recognized

The New Birth of Freedom Council is excited to announce that on Saturday, May 4, we will be recognizing five new Silver Beaver recipients at the Council’s Volunteer Recognition Banquet and District Receptions at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg.

  • Richard Hess – Chartered Organization Representative for Pack and Troop 51; Assistant District Commissioner, Pioneer District
  • Carlos Inacio, Jr. – District Commissioner, Keystone Capital District
  • Paul Kolva, Jr. – Committee Member, Troop 138; District Member-at-Large, Conococheague District
  • Elsie Williams – District Member-at-Large, Keystone Capital District
  • David Wyrwas – Council Executive Board

The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council and the community.  The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.
