April Council-wide Roundtable

PLEASE BE SURE TO USE THE LINK BELOW, THIS CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL MARCH 26TH POSTING TO MAKE SURE WE CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 500 PARTICIPANTS.

In order to best support our units and Scouting volunteers in the New Birth of Freedom Council, our district and council leadership have decided to hold the April Roundtable Meetings as a single, council-wide, virtual roundtable on April 2 at 7:00pm.  The April roundtables are scheduled in a window of time that is questionable as to whether in-person meetings will be permissible by state and CDC guidelines.  So that roundtable staffs and participants can best prepare for the upcoming meeting, we decided this would be the most effective course of action.  This also means that there will be NO roundtables on April 9.

How will it work?

Roundtable participants are invited to log in to the meeting at 7pm on April 2.  You can join the meeting by video or by conference call.  We will be sharing visuals during the meeting so, we highly recommend that you join us by video.  You will not need to purchase any special software to participate, you just need to follow the links provided.

There will not be the customary breakout sessions during the meeting.  Instead, the meeting will focus on topics that are relevant to all Scouting volunteers.  Most of the topics will revolve around 1) keeping Scouting programs going if current state and CDC regulations remain in effect and 2) answering frequently asked questions about coronavirus interruptions in Scouting programs in areas such as advancement.

During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to type questions to our moderators and we will do our best to answer all of the questions that are asked.  After the meeting we will collect and post questions and post answers to any questions that we were unable to answer.  We also plan to record the roundtable so that the meeting can be shared with others.

District specific information that would normally be shared at the beginning of roundtable will be posted on each District’s homepage.  The links to the district pages are below:

We ask that when everyone logs into the meeting, they put themselves on mute so that our presenters are able to share everything that is on the agenda.
