Welcome Tyler Roman to Our Camping Department

The New Birth of Freedom Council is delighted to welcome our newest staff member, Tyler Roman, as the Administrative Assistant in our Camping Department.

Tyler brings a wealth of Scouting experience to this role, including service as a member of the summer camp staff at Camp Tuckahoe each year since 2014, most recently serving as Program Director.  An Eagle Scout (2013) and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow (2014), Tyler has also served on the staff for seven National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) courses, and he received the Venturing Leadership Award in 2016.

Tyler’s passion for Scouting and his personal knowledge of and experience at both Hidden Valley and Tuckahoe will certainly be an asset to our council in his role promoting and fielding questions about summer and year-round camping opportunities at our Council’s camps.

Tyler graduated cum laude from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary this past May and he played a key leadership role in developing our virtual summer camp programs in 2020.
