We are excited to announce partnerships with Karns Foods, Rutter’s, and Capitol City Mall to provide Show and Sell opportunities for our Scouts during the 2022 Popcorn and Nuts Sale. Please read the information below about sign ups and follow the instructions for signing your unit up for dates. Each partner has different requirements, so please be sure to understand each when you sign up.
Karns Food
Every Karns store in the New Birth of Freedom Council footprint is allowing 4 days of in-person Show and Sells. The 10 locations are:
- Boiling Springs
- Carlisle
- Duncannon
- Hershey
- Lemoyne
- Mechanicsburg
- Middletown
- New Bloomfield
- Paxton Square
- Etters-Newberry
Our dates will be:
- Saturday, August 13 – Timeslot 1- 9:00am to 1:00pm; Timeslot 2 – 1:00pm to 5:00pm
- Sunday, August 21 -Timeslot 1- 9:00am to 1:00pm; Timeslot 2 – 1:00pm to 5:00pm
- Sunday, August 28 -Timeslot 1- 9:00am to 1:00pm; Timeslot 2 – 1:00pm to 5:00pm
- Saturday, September 10 -Timeslot 1- 9:00am to 1:00pm; Timeslot 2 – 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Between July 1 and July 10 each unit may sign up for 1 timeslot. On July 11 any unassigned timeslots are on a first come first serve basis. If for any reason you need to cancel your location, please contact the New Birth of Freedom Council with as much notice as possible in order to share that opportunity with another unit.

Sign Up for Karns Show and Sell
Rutter’s
Most of the Rutter’s locations in the New Birth of Freedom Council will allow Scouting units to sign up for 1 Saturday during the course of the sale. All of the participating Rutter’s locations can be found here. All Rutter’s locations will be a 6 hour time block from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the Rutter’s Popcorn and Nut’s Selling Guidelines. Units that want to participate must 1) Sign up using the button below to schedule; and 2) Complete a 2022 Fundraiser Request Form and submit it to Chris Styers at christopher.styers@scouting.org within 5 days of making your reservation. Failure to submit your form on time will remove your reservation and you will have to start the process over.
Units DO NOT need to submit a separate Certificate of Liability Insurance. The Council will submit a blanket form for all participating units.

Capital City Mall – Information Coming Soon – Sign Ups start on July 8 at noon
Between July 8 and July 16 each unit may sign up for 1 timeslot. On July 17 any unassigned timeslots are on a first come first serve basis. If for any reason you need to cancel your location, please contact the New Birth of Freedom Council with as much notice as possible in order to share that opportunity with another unit.
Units will be able to set up at the entrance to the food court at the Capital City Mall. Units will be provided a table and chairs so will just need to bring product and signage.
