Brian S. Funkhouser

Brian FunkhouserAfter earning the Arrow of Light and Eagle Scout awards as a youth, Brian Funkhouser has gone on to fashion an impressive business career and record of community service.

Brian currently serves as President and CEO for Buchart-Horn, Inc., which provides engineering, architectural and planning services not only here in our local area, but worldwide.

Brian has served as a member of the council’s Executive Board for many years and played a key role in growing the council’s financial resources as the inaugural chair for the former York-Adams Area Council’s Sporting Clays fundraising event and he continued to chair that important event for years.

In the community, Brian’s record of service is exemplary.  He is a Rotarian, past chair of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and has been a member and council president of Saint James Lutheran Church for 35 years.

Brian has served as a member of the advisory board at both Penn State – Harrisburg and Penn State –  York,  along with service as a member of the board of directors for Better York and as a member of the York County Rail Trail Authority.

Brian is a member of the PA Water Environment Association, a member, past chair and national director of the American Water Work Association, a member of the Water Environment Federation and a member of the Water Works Operators Association of PA, receiving several professional awards from these organizations.
