Project Hercules – Service Days

Accomplishing any large task requires teamwork. There is no way we can tackle this project alone – we need helping hands from volunteers from across the Council to make this project possible. Thank you to everyone who has already participated in one of our service days! We will be holding Project Hercules Service Days almost every Saturday from now until the start of summer camp. There is a project for everyone to give a helping hand with. Projects during these service days will include:

  • Moving, clearing, and piling brush
  • Splitting and stacking logs
  • Chipping branches
  • Bucking and limbing downed trees
  • Moving tent platforms back into campsites
  • Replanting trees across the camp

Our scheduled service days are June 12. As registrations are made available for each service day, we will provide them below with information on what to bring to the service day and specifics on the day’s tasks. Not able to make one of our scheduled service days? No worries! Contact Scott Holbrook, Camp Tuckahoe Ranger, to see if you can work out another weekend or day during the week to offer some service. Scott can be reached at scott.holbrook@scouting.org or (717) 502-4192.
