Aquatics activities are among the most important activities for any Scout attending summer camp and Camp Tuckahoe’s swimming pool (completed in 2003) is a magnificent venue for the camp’s instructional and recreational swimming programs.
The 186,000 gallon pool is centrally located for convenient access by all campsites. There’s plenty of room to accommodate lots of swimmers for merit badge sessions and other classes as well as open swims on those really hot summer afternoons when it seems like everyone in camp headed for the pool to cool off. Well-trained summer camp pool staff makes sure the pool is operated safely, as well as maintaining an atmosphere of fun and fellowship.
This area also includes an innovative bath house that creates three separate shower rooms for boys, adult male leaders and adult female leaders all under the same roof. These spacious shower rooms also provide private changing and shower areas.
Regardless of a boy’s swimming ability, Tuckahoe’s pool’s inviting waters will prove irresistible. Whether you’re looking to earn merit badges, watch the annual “belly flop contests,”or just cool off this pool’s for you!
