Scout’s BSA Rifle Range – Tuckahoe

Rifle Range 900x600Shooting sports are among the most popular activities at any Scout at summer camp and Camp Tuckahoe has an excellent .22-caliber rifle range with quality firearms that come together to provide a great shooting experience for all Scouts regardless of previous shooting experience.

Rifle Shooting merit badge can be completed at camp depending on the Scout’s experience with rifles. Scouts taking the merit badge should plan to spend time practicing every day. There is an additional cost to this merit badge for ammo shot outside of class.  There is no charge for ammunition shot during class time.

SAFETY WARNING

Watch for the red warning flags at the rifle and archery ranges. Stay away from blind spots around these areas when the flags are up. We do not want anyone hurt. Do not enter the range without the Range Director’s permission.

FIELD SPORTS AREA OPEN SHOOTS

The rifle and archery ranges will be open throughout the week for open shoots.

TROOP SHOOTS

There is time available for the troop shoots after regular program hours on the rifle and archery ranges. If your troop is interested, contact the Field Sports Director early in the week.
