Fall Camporee

Fall Camporee

We are excited to announce our Fall Camporee themed around “Surviving On Your Own” to be held September 26 and 27.

Scouts BSA Troops and Venturing Crews are invited to attend a day of informational and interactive classes on wilderness survival, and then will be dismissed in groups to locate their campsite and use their new skills to survive the night at Camp Tuckahoe. Classes will cover everything from building fires to erecting shelters. All experience levels are welcome to attend.

You can read more about it in our Leaders Guide. There will be a Program Outline coming soon!

Most importantly, we want to make sure units know that we need them to still send leaders along to accompany our wilderness survival pods and ensure the safety and appropriate behavior of the scouts. For every four scouts that a unit sends, we are asking units to send one leader, with fractions rounded up. For example, if your unit sends four or less scouts, we ask that they also send one leader. If your unit sends 10 scouts, we ask that the unit provides 3 leaders. This will be critical in providing a safe and fun weekend.

Registration is LIVE on Tentaroo!

Don’t forget to bring your mask with you, and we hope to see you the last weekend of September at Camp Tuckahoe!
