As you may have seen in the news, Gov. Wolf issued new guidelines for indoor meetings last Tuesday that could potentially alter the decision-making process for this event.

As part of our planning process, we have been awaiting advice from Hershey Lodge and Convention Center as to how many people they calculate could attend the event following Gov. Wolf’s latest guidance.

While we announced at the October 1 Council-wide Roundtable that a decision as to whether the Eagle Dinner would be held in person or virtually would be announced today (October 14), we’re going to need just a little more time to consider the available options as a result of this new guidance.  There is a committee meeting tomorrow morning (October 15) and we’ll provide an update following that meeting.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to determine our best options in recognizing this year’s Eagle Scout class.  The one thing that has been constant throughout the COVID-19 pandemic is uncertainty, which makes planning anything difficult.
