Explorer Posts and Clubs

Welcome to the New Birth of Freedom Council Exploring page!

Exploring is a career based program for young men and women ages 10-20.  Scouts get the chance to interact with professionals in many different career fields.

Younger scouts may join Exploring Clubs through their school.  Club members will get to interact with a different professional each meeting and learn about their career path.

High School age scouts can choose a post in one (or more) career field.  Scouts will have a chance to network with professionals in their area of interest, build confidence and self-worth, develop leadership skills, and gain valuable experiences for college, job, and scholarship applications!

Whether it’s with a club or post, Exploring is the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.

Most Exploring Posts and Clubs meet once a month during the school year, however some may choose to meet year-round or offer special summer activities.

Exploring career fields include:

ARTS & HUMANITIES HEATH CARE
AVIATION LAW & GOVERNMENT
BUSINESS CAREER EXPLORING LAW ENFORCEMENT
COMMUNICATIONS SCIENCE
ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY SKILLED TRADES
FIRE & EMS SOCIAL SERVICES
