An Eagle Scout, Kevin Stein became his service as an adult leader in Scouting when he became a Tiger Cub parent in 2006 with Pack 40. Kevin became Pack 40’s Cubmaster in 2007, and he served in that role until 2012.
Kevin became a committee member in Troop 40 in 2011 and transitioned to Assistant Scoutmaster in 2012. Kevin became Troop 40’s Committee Chair in 2013, and he served in that capacity until 2018, when he became the troop’s Scoutmaster.
Kevin’s unit-level service also includes service with Venture Crew 153 and Venture Crew 69, serving as Committee Chair for both groups.
Kevin has served as a merit badge counselor for many years, and he served as his district’s Advancement Chair from 2013-18, and he received the District Award of Merit in 2013.
Kevin also served as a staff member for the Council’s National Youth Leadership Training course from 2016-18, serving as Course Director in 2016, and Course Adviser in 2017-18. Kevin completed his Wood Badge Training in 2012.
As Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, Kevin currently serves as the Lodge’s Adviser.
Kevin also received the Cubmaster Award (2010), Cub Scouter Award (2012), and Unit Leader Award of Merit (2013).
