The New Birth of Freedom Council, Boy Scouts of America is excited to announce the launch of our Going the Distance Scouting Academy. This online resource has been designed to help Scouts and unit leaders as we seek to Keep On Scouting while responsibly following social distancing requirements to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Our Academy is designed to provide three primary resources:
- Virtual Merit Badge Programs
- Virtual Leader Training and Resources – Coming Soon!
- Virtual Cub Scout Programs – Coming Soon!

Remember that it is still important to follow Youth Protection policies even during online meetings and Scouting activities. Check out the BSA’s Online and Social Media Guidelines. We also suggest that any Scouts before participating in Virtual Programming, complete their Cyber Chip Award.
