Our “Camp Is Where Home Is” summer program offers two Cub Scout sessions, with each week running from Sunday evening to Thursday evening. The dates are:
It costs $55 for each Scout to participate in the program, with each Scout have the opportunity to work on four different adventures during the session. We’re going to have a lot of fun AND work on advancements!
Program for Everyone
Because this is a virtual program, we are not limited by the usual resident camp rules and restrictions. We can offer fun and adventures for everyone from Lions to Webelos Scouts working on their Arrow of Light. We’ve carefully crafted each program to meet the specific needs of each rank.
Base Camp Set-Up
During your session, all participants are encouraged to create their at-home base camp. You could simply set up a tent in your backyard and sleep in it at night or you can go big by making a full camp set-up in your yard with a tent, fire pit, camp chair, and more for you to use during the day. If you are unable to put a tent in your yard, maybe you can put a tent up somewhere inside your house and create a base camp area that way. And no worries if you do not have a tent, feel free to make a sweet fort somewhere in your house for you to use for your time with us at camp.
Depending on what route you choose to go, the nights you spend may count as camping nights. Check the national website to see if your nights may count (https://www.scouting.org/coronavirus/covid-19-faq/).

Daily Virtual Engagements
Each afternoon following lunch, there will be daily virtual engagements. These will be different activities put on by the various staff members. There will be different virtual engagements each day. Scouts can pick and choose what they would like to do or view. For example, one day, there may be some science demonstrations put on by our STEM staff and a nature hike provided by our nature staff. Another day could include meeting with a first responder and watching staff members participate in a goofy challenge. You choose the option you want!
As at Resident Camp, Scouts can participate in a different evening program each day. These include working on the Yo-Yo Preview Adventure, a specific rank night, a Camper’s Campfire, and a Scavenger Hunt. These participative activities are camp-wide, fun activities for all campers.
“Packing Lists” have been made for each rank and adventure. These lists will help you gather the materials you will need to complete the different adventures during the week. Each list has been made specific to the rank and the adventure.
We have created a Cub Scout Participant’s Guide. This guide will provide you with detailed information about the program, how to sign up, and what all the program has to offer. Please be sure you read the Participant’s Guide to gather a full understanding of the program and expectations of participants.
An email will be sent out the Thursday before your session following the close of registration. This email will contain all the information you need to know for your session including zoom links, Google Classroom codes, your “packing lists,” and important general information. If you do not receive an email by the end of the day Thursday, reach out to Cub Scout Program Director of Camp Director.
