Join us for the University of Scouting on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Lower Dauphin Middle School in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. Hosted by the New Birth of Freedom Council, it is open to all Scouters, Venturers, and older Scouts. This training event is packed with supplemental training that any leader will find helpful.
Over 85 courses will be offered this year, including 28 courses new for 2026, ranging from recruiting Cub Scouts to trail cooking to high adventure bases, and everything in between. We are offering over 25 courses that are open to Venturers and older Scouts, including Den Chief Training and Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops. There are five colleges in the University of Scouting, offering classes for the newest den leader through the most seasoned district leader!
Not sure what courses are right for you in your role in Scouting? We are here to help! You can register for one of the tracks, and we will place you in the best courses for your role. There are tracks for Den Leaders, Pack Committee, Cubmasters, Troop Committee, Troop Advancement, and Scoutmasters & Assistant Scoutmasters. You will also complete your degree when you select two additional electives of your choosing.
