Getting to the Mechanicsburg Service Center and Scout Shop
The Mechanicsburg Service Center is located at 1 Baden Powell Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, and currently serves as the administrative headquarters for the New Birth of Freedom Council. It houses the council’s professional and administrative staff and meeting facilities.

The Mechanicsburg Scout Shop, operated by the BSA’s Supply Group, is also located in the Mechanicsburg Service Center and carries a wide variety of BSA supply merchandise, uniforms, literature, and recognitions. Catalog and custom-design orders are also available through the Mechanicsburg Scout Shop.

- Wednesday & Thursday – 10 AM – 7 PM
- Friday – 10 AM – 5 PM
- Saturday – 10 AM – 3 PM
Closed for lunch Monday-Friday 1:30-2:00 PM. The Scout Shop is closed on Sundays and holidays.

Whenever the Mechanicsburg Scout Shop is open outside of the Mechanicsburg Service Center’s normal operating hours, paperwork for the council (such as event or camp payments, membership applications, etc.) can be dropped off in the Scout Shop, but Scout Shop employees are not able to provide receipts or perform other transactions on the council’s behalf. A dropbox is also available just outside the lobby entrance doors, where items for the council can be dropped off.
