Battlefield District FOS Luncheon

Inspiring Leaders. Empowering Youth. Strengthening Community.

Thank you for attending this year’s Battlefield Friends of Scouting Luncheon, held on December 11, 2025 at the Hanover Country Club.

We were honored to welcome Barbara Finfrock as our keynote speaker this year. A distinguished leader, Barbara serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Gettysburg Foundation Board of Directors and currently chairs its Membership Committee. Her passion for service and dedication to preserving our national heritage inspired all who attended.

We also heard a powerful firsthand story from a young lady, Ava Mehl, who recently earned her Eagle rank in a Troop in the Battlefield District, sharing how Scouting has provided a foundation of character, leadership, and resilience that is shaping her future.

This event is more than a luncheon—it’s a chance to invest in the future of our youth and the values that make our community strong. Your support helps the New Birth of Freedom Council continue delivering high-impact programs that build tomorrow’s leaders. If you weren’t able to join us, you can still invest in the youth of our area by clicking the link below and “registering” for the event with your donation.

Mark your calendar for next year’s event, to be held December 10, 2026 at the same location and be part of something truly meaningful.
Together, we can ensure that the spirit of Scouting continues to thrive across our region.
