Discover Hidden Valley, a scenic 830+ acre camp nestled in Perry County, PA, alongside picturesque Sherman’s Creek—perfect for fishing and outdoor activities. Since 1927, Hidden Valley has been a key part of the New Birth of Freedom Council’s operations.
Although Hidden Valley currently does not offer summer camp programs, it is available year-round for rental, offering exceptional facilities for your unit’s next outing. Hidden Valley proudly hosts key council events like the National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course each June, district camporees and Klondike Derbies.
Choose from eight cozy cabins (accommodating 10 to 65 people), all featuring indoor restrooms and furnace heating—ideal for cold-weather stays. Additional lodging options include Crissy’s Place, a central lodge with four cabins, and Olewine Village with seven cabins.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Hidden Valley offers two Adirondack shelter campsites and the Stockade site, which holds up to 24 guests in screened shelters with bunk beds. Ten scenic tent campsites are also available.
Amenities include a year-round shower house, a fully stocked trading post, pavilions, recreational facilities like volleyball and basketball courts, and a gaga pit. The spacious heated and air-conditioned dining hall, with a commercial kitchen and seating up to 300 people, is also available for rental.
