We are excited to announce a brand new Merit Badge College being held in the Battlefield District this year! The format is a 2-day format: scouts MUST attend the same classes and be active participants BOTH days as well as complete assignments between the 2 days in order to complete merit badges.
This year the Battlefield Merit Badge College will be held at Freedom Valley Church located at 3185 York Rd, Gettysburg, PA. The dates of the Merit Badge College are Saturday March 14 and Saturday April 11. There is an opportunity to take up to 4 merit badge classes for a cost of $10.
Participants may bring a bag lunch or may pre-order a hot lunch for each day of classes. There will be no opportunity to buy a lunch on the day of classes and youth are not allowed to leave the facility and come back. The 2 choices for pre-ordered hot lunches are Beef BBQ or Chicken BBQ. Both lunches also contain chips, applesauce and water for a cost of $6.
Registration is done individually through Tentaroo.
We are also pleased to be able to offer a free Life To Eagle Seminar on Saturday March 14 only during Period 1. Scouts who are taking classes at the Merit Badge College can choose to attend the Life To Eagle Seminar instead of a class during period 1 on March 14, and then come just for their merit badge classes during periods 2-4 on April 11. If any scout wants to attend the Life To Eagle Seminar who is not attending any merit badge classes, you may register for free for the Life To Eagle Seminar only here.
