Helpful Tentaroo Hints

Creating an Account

  • Creating a Tentaroo account is easy! Just click “Create Account” under “Log In.”
  • On the next screen, you’ll be prompted to select an event or location. Scroll through to find your desired event.
  • If you’re renting a cabin or campsite, scroll all the way to the bottom to see “Facilities – Camp …”
  • After selecting your event or facility, enter your unit’s information and your contact details.
  • When you’re finished, click “Complete” to view the site.
  • For camping reservations or unit summer camp registration, please use a unit account.
    For council events (like merit badge college) or provisional Scout summer camp registration, you can use an individual/family account.

Resetting Account

  • If you need to reset your password, the link will only be sent to the email addresses linked to the account.
  • You can update the account users under “Manage Profile” (this is helpful when leadership changes).
  • Tentaroo does not allow duplicate accounts. If you can’t create an account, your unit likely already has one. Contact Camping Services to gain access.
  • You can choose between a unit account or an individual/family account.

Creating a Trip

  • To see available dates, facility amenities, and pictures, log into Tentaroo.
  • To create a new trip, click “Facilities”, then select your location and follow the on-screen prompts to checkout.
  • In the availability calendar, green indicates open dates, gray means unavailable.
  • To view beyond three months, click the arrows next to the month and year at the top of the calendar.
  • To add another facility to your reservation, proceed through checkout as usual.
  • On the order review page, click “Add Reservation” below the checkout box. Repeat for each additional facility.
  • Reservations can only be made with a unit account.

Registering for Events

  • Units should register using a unit account, not an individual/family account.
  • To reduce summer camp numbers, contact Camping Services.
  • Provisional Scouts can register using an individual/family account.
  • If you need to make changes after payment, contact your council.

Payments

  • Reservations aren’t finalized until you complete checkout and submit a deposit or full payment.
  • Leaving items in your cart doesn’t hold the dates, so other units can book them.
  • Paying by check? Let Camping Services know once your check is mailed so your dates can be secured.
  • You can also pay by e-check directly from your bank account if you prefer not to use a card.
  • Please note: Tentaroo does not accept American Express.
