Archery Instructor Certification Training – Levels 1 & 2
The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course provides graduates with the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range for camps and beginner archery programs.
• Archery Merit Badge Counselors are required to maintain Level 1 Certification.
• Leaders who wish to plan and conduct high-quality Archery Programs for their Unit, or for District and Council Events, should plan to take this course.
• Older Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts (15 years old or older) should consider this course to prepare themselves for Staff positions or competitive archery programs.
To complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Online Course, including the online exam, and register for and complete the in-person New Birth of Freedom Council Level 1 Instructor Practical Course.

The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification online course provides graduates the necessary tools to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as BSA Summer Camp Archery Director, or Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery Program, and Collegiate Archery Program Clubs, and Explore Archery Programs. To successfully complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Course, including the online exam, and register for and complete the “in-person” New Birth of Freedom Council Level 2 Instructor Practical Course.

NRA Range Safety Officer
This course is designed to teach you how to serve as a Range Safety Officer. There is no firearms shooting involved in this course. This course is designed for Scouters and is intended for leaders who will be serving as RSOs at Scout shooting events.
