In 2024, our council will host a Tiger Cub Camp for Parents and Tiger Scouts! This camp is intended for those youth and parents that participated in the Lion Program during the 2022-23 school year and will be Tiger Cubs this fall. This camping adventure will be offered on July 27-28, 2024, at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation. Check-in is 2 PM on Saturday at the Camp Office, and check-out is Sunday at 7 PM.
The cost is only $150 per Scout and adult pair! This includes all meals, activity supplies, and housing for the weekend.

Tigers in the Wild
During this adventure, you’ll embark on an exploration of the great outdoors with your den, pack, or family. Spend at least 20 minutes outdoors, equipped with your Cub Scout Six Essentials. As Cubs ventures forth with their adult partner, they will keenly observe the natural world around them. From the rustle of leaves to the chirping of birds, identify the wonders of nature alongside the manmade elements that intersect with our environment!
Tiger Bites
Cubs will learn the significance of physical activity and healthy choices in this exciting adventure! Scouts will delve into the importance of staying active for at least 30 minutes. Through engaging activities and discussions, we will grasp the vital role that regular exercise plays in maintaining overall health and well-being.
BB Gun Tiger
Alongside your Tiger adult partner, you’ll learn essential safety protocols, gearing up with the proper safety equipment, and reciting the four safety reminders. Practice loading, firing, and securing your BB gun while exploring different shooting positions to enhance your skills. Also, discover the importance of proper storage and upkeep of your BB gun.
Archery Tiger
Similar to the BB Gun advancement, Cubs will learn archery safety and techniques. Identify and utilize essential safety gear, recite range rules, and master proper shooting techniques. Engage in thrilling target practice sessions, where you’ll shoot arrows and strive to improve your aim with each attempt. Through this adventure, you’ll not only develop archery skills but also cultivate teamwork and responsibility!
Tigers in the Water
No summer camp program would be complete without some fun in the sun and a splash in the pool! Dive into this adventure and discover essential swimming safety rules while learning how to enter and exit the swimming area with confidence. With your trusted Tiger adult partner by your side, embrace the thrill of being active in water depths matching your ability for 20 minutes. Learn skills like blowing bubbles, mastering the flutter kick, and honing your swimming techniques.
What to bring?
- BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A and B)
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Two changes of clothing, rain gear, and a hat
- Bug spray, flashlight, and water bottle
- Toothbrush, soap, and other personal items
- Swimming suit, towel, and sunscreen
- Parents may want to bring a folding chair
