The District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver Award recognize exceptional contributions by Scouting volunteers.
District Award of Merit
- Purpose: Honors registered adult volunteers for outstanding service at the district level.
- Eligibility: Current volunteers who have not received this award before.
- Presentation: Awarded by districts.
Silver Beaver Award
- Purpose: Recognizes registered adult leaders who have made significant impacts on youth and the community.
- Eligibility: Leaders with long-term commitment and exemplary service.
- Significance: Acknowledges dedication to Scouting and community service.
Nomination Details
Nominations for both awards are due by February 1, 2026.
How to Nominate:
- Complete nomination forms as per guidelines.
- Submit by the deadline.
- District Awards of Merit nomination forms should be submitted to your District’s professional scouter.
- Silver Beaver nomination forms should be submitted to Mandy Eshenour at amanda.eshenour@scouting.org
