37th annual York Distinguished Citizen
The 37th annual York Distinguished Citizen Celebration will honor Eric Menzer, President of York Revolution, for his outstanding leadership and service to the community and for exemplifying the values of the Boy Scouts of America.
This year’s Celebration Co-Chairs are Jules Tolbert, community investor, and Michael Kochenour, Founder and past Director of Traditions Bank. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at York College Campus’s Wilman Business Center Yorkview Hall. Recent honorees include Michael Kochenour, Juiles Tolbert, Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith, Carl Vizzi, Steve Tansey, Patrick Kinsley, Todd Rutter, Jeffrey Lobach, Jeffrey Hines, Bill Scott, William Shipley, and Donald Graham. The event also served as a significant fundraiser for the New Birth of Freedom Council, raising funds to support local Scouting programs delivered to more than 5,500 youth members.
Scouting America is one of the largest scouting organizations and youth organizations in the United States, with about 762,000 youth participants. The BSA was founded in 1910; about 110 million Americans have participated in its programs. In 1922, Scouting America became a founding member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Scouting America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
