Enjoy Outdoor Experiences All Year Round
[caption id="attachment_205" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Thunderbird Lodge"][/caption] Situated on 830+ acres in Perry County, Hidden Valley Scout Reservation has been in operation since 1927 and offers a premier year-round cabin camping facilities for the use of Scout Troop and Packs, as well as church groups, corporate retreats and other organizations in south-central Pennsylvania. Hidden Valley has eight winter lodges, each heated by a propane furnace and a wood stove. Each lodge has tables, cooking facilities and running water, and has bunks and mattresses for between 10 and 65 occupants, depending on the individual lodge. UPDATE: March 18, 2013 – Even though the start of summer camp is still months away, registration for the following sessions have already exceeded capacity, resulting in those periods being closed to further sign-ups.
- Webelos Resident Camp Weeks 1 (June 24-28) and 3 (August 4-8)
- Cub Scout Resident Camp Week 2 (June 20-22)
- Hidden Valley Boy Scout Camp Week 1 (June23 – 29) and Week 2 (June 30-July 6)
- Tuckahoe Boy Scout Camp Week 1 (July 7-13)
Space for all other summer camp sessions are still currently available. Units are strongly encouraged to consider making a reservation for another camp session.

It is possible that other summer camp sessions will fill up in the weeks ahead and we strongly recommend that units make firm reservations as soon as possible to avoid being shut out of the camp session your unit is planning to attend.

What’s new this year?
The American Heritage and Search and Rescue merit badges are new to Hidden Valley this year! We’re also extremely pleased to be able to offer a special demonstration at both camps on welding this summer. Whether you’re interested in the new Welding Merit Badge, curious about welding for a career, or just want to know what welding is, you can visit this demonstration and learn about the tools of the trade.
Situated on 830+ acres near Loysville, PA, Hidden Valley has been in operation since 1927. With an abundance of facilities for both summer and year-round camping opportunities for your unit’s use, Hidden Valley is a great place to camp all year long.
With a year-round heated and air-conditioned dining hall with seating for 300 and nine cabins of various sizes available for rental, Hidden Valley also features a shower building that’s open year-round along with a well-stocked trading post. Sherman’s Creek runs through Hidden Valley, providing lots of great fishing spots for everyone.
Boy Scout summer campers will be able to select from a wide variety of merit badge offerings, with older Scouts also being able to test their skills on Hidden Valley’s impressive climbing tower. There’s also a terrific first-year camper program designed to help newer Boy Scouts get a fast start along the advancement trail.
