What is Adventure Camp?
Cub Scout Adventure Camp is an evening-only program (6:00 – 8:30 PM) offered to Cub Scouts and Cub Scout-aged siblings who wish to participate in the camp with their Cub Scout siblings during July. The purpose of Cub Scout Adventure Camp is to provide a fun and educational program for the Scout and his or her entire family. Cub Scouts can attend any session based on the convenience of the family’s schedule and location. Each session is 5 days long.
Who can attend Adventure Camp?
Webelos and Arrow of Lights can attend Adventure Camp, however, the program is designed for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears. According to the Age-Appropriate Guidelines for Camping that are published by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Lions are not permitted to attend Summer Adventure Camp. Youth recruited into the Lion program are to start officially in the Pack in the fall and should not be recruited during the spring. Lions are permitted to attend day camps and family camping after they have joined in the fall. The rank for the Scouts is based on what they will be for the Fall of 2025.
