Every day, Scouting instills timeless values in our youth—being Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. These principles don’t just shape great Scouts; they help build strong leaders and communities.
The Friends of Scouting (FOS) Campaign is the New Birth of Freedom Council’s annual effort to ensure these values-driven programs remain accessible and impactful for every Scout. Like all families, our Scouting family operates within a budget. To deliver a high-quality program experience, our Council must raise an average of $200 per youth member through the Friends of Scouting Campaign.
These critical funds are raised through brief, 8–12 minute Friends of Scouting presentations, typically held during unit gatherings such as Blue & Gold Banquets or Courts of Honor. February, March, and April are ideal months to host a presentation and engage families in supporting Scouting’s mission.
