Missed the October Roundtable? Watch the Recording

Fall recruiting, upcoming events, and plans for 2027 took center stage at our October 1 council-wide roundtable. If you couldn’t join us live, catch up with the recording and hear updates that will help your unit plan the months ahead.

There’s encouraging recruiting news: the council welcomed 305 new youth in September, a 3.7% increase over September 2025. Presenters highlighted district successes, opportunities to keep recruiting this fall, and the importance of helping Lion families continue into the Tiger program.

The webinar also covered:

  • Fall deadlines: Popcorn and nut sale orders, returns, and payments, plus Scouting for Food preparations for the November 14 collection.

  • Camping and training: Halloween Day, 2027 summer camp schedules and the November 1 deposit deadline to retain 2026 pricing, camp staff opportunities, Philmont, and University of Scouting.

  • Hidden Valley’s Centennial Camporee: Registration, activities, volunteer opportunities, and the cabin lottery for the May 21–23, 2027 celebration.

  • Recognition and council news: The November 24 Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, upcoming membership and charter renewal changes, and Scout Executive & CEO Ron Gardner’s year-end retirement and the Board’s search for his successor.

The closing Q&A addressed practical questions about camp participation, summer camp deposits, troop visits for Arrow of Light Scouts, and renewal fees.

Watch the recording and share it with other leaders in your unit. It’s a chance to catch the details, hear answers to questions you may have, and get ready for a busy season of Scouting.
