Spring is here—and this year, Scouts are invited to prepare for something truly legendary. The 2026 Keystone Capital District Spring Camporee, themed “The Highland Games,” will be held April 24–26, 2026, at H.M. Levitz Memorial Park in Grantville.

Drawing inspiration from the ancient Scottish traditions where warriors tested their strength, skill, and leadership, this year’s camporee will challenge patrols to compete as clans in a series of exciting Highland-style events. From stone throws and caber tosses to log drags, hammer tosses, and even “storming the castle,” Scouts will put their teamwork, technique, and determination to the test in a fun and competitive environment.

Beyond the action, troops are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the games by creating their own clan identity. Scouts can design shields, wear tartans, and even craft their own kilts, with prizes awarded for creativity and authenticity.

The weekend will also include traditional camporee highlights, including a campfire program featuring unit skits and songs, a Scouts’ Own service, and the Order of the Arrow call-out ceremony—recognizing those Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law.

Members of the Order of Arrow should pack their sashes for an Arrowmen-only gathering.

Registration fees are $8 for Scouts, $6 for Webelos for the day only, $5 for troop adults, and just $2.50 for event volunteers.  Late fees after April 10, 2026.

The 2026 Spring Camporee is more than just a camping trip; it will be an adventure that creates lasting memories and strengthens the bonds of Scouting. Whether you are a seasoned Scout or new to the experience, this event promises something special for everyone.
