Wizard Safari is a weekend packed with activities for Scouts of all ages to participate in.  As you and your unit plan for Safari, please review the schedule below.

8:00am – 3:30pm Preliminary Site Set-up
4:00pm – 7:30pm Check-in/Registration Open and set up unit sites
4:00pm Last unit vehicles into camp at Wizard Ranch*
5:00pm – 9:00pm Food Sales Open at Haines Hotel – Available Menu Items
8:00pm Time Capsule Opening in Deadwood
8:30pm – 9:45pm Safari Activities Open

  • Trading Post Open
  • Root Beer Saloon Open
  • Scouting Museum
8:30pm Pack Leader’s Meeting
9:00pm Troop/Crew/Ship/Post Leader’s Meeting
9:30pm Safari Staff Meeting
9:45pm Tattoo (call for Scouts to return to Campsites)
10:00pm TAPS/All vehicles out of camp at Wizard Ranch

12:30pm – 4:00pm Afternoon Program Open
4:00pm – 4:30pm Guinness Book of World Records Attempt Concludes
Turn in Trail Guides to earn World Record Attempt Carabiner
4:30pm – 7:00pm Dinner and Free Time
7:15pm Line up for Campfire Program
7:30pm – 9:00pm Campfire Program at Campfire Circle
9:00pm – 10:30pm Free Time and Safari Activities

Commissioner final inspection of site before leaving
10:00am – 11:00am Vehicles into Wizard Ranch (one way in only)**
11:00am – 12:00pm Vehicles out of Wizard Ranch (one way out only)**
