The event will recognize the current Eagle Scout Class of 2018 for their outstanding accomplishments, with many prominent business and community leaders in attendance. This dinner also serves as the largest fundraising event to support local Scouting in the New Birth of Freedom Council. The event raised nearly $120,000 for local Scouting last year, as well as over $5,600 for relief efforts to help the Puerto Rico Council, which was devastated by Hurricane Maria.
Dr. A. Craig Hillemeier will be the 2018 Eagle Scout Dinner Honoree. Dr. Hillemeier is the Dean of the Penn State College of Medicine, the Chief Executive Officer of Penn State Health, and the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs at Penn State University.
David M. Kleppinger, Esq., Chairman of McNees Wallace & Nurick and our 2017 Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner Honoree, will be serving as the Dinner Chairman this year.
