Chocolatey Caramel Crunch Sold Here Not Part of Voluntary Recall

The Weaver Popcorn Company, which produced the Trail’s End brand popcorn sold by the council this past fall, has informed us that one of their suppliers, the Palmer Candy Company, has voluntarily recalled a limited amount of Trail’s End Chocolatey Caramel Crunch 18 oz. product that it produced for Weaver.

The good news for us is that the Chocolatey Caramel Crunch product distributed in our council area is NOT part of the recall. 

The Chocolatey Caramel Crunch product that is subject to recall is marked with Barcode #X000FMRA8J, with an expiration range of 7/29/2017 – 8/8/2017.

Weaver has been diligently investigating this issue since they became aware of Palmer’s recall. Further, Weaver would like to stress they have no knowledge of any instances of illness related to the product subject to Palmer’s recall, and product testing by Palmer and Weaver produced no positive findings of Salmonella.
