Brian DeBease – New Director of Development

As of March 1, Brian DeBease will join the New Birth of Freedom Council as our new Director of Development. Brian has been a Scouting professional for over 22 years and has been involved in Scouting for over 32 years.

Brian is coming to us from the Del-Mar-Va Council where he served as the Director of Development since 2014.  Prior to that Brian served the Baltimore Area Council in the Development Department. Brian started his Scouting career with the Keystone Area Council as a District Executive in 1994 and served as a Senior District Executive and Assistant Scout Executive.

Brian and his wife, Linda, have been married for 25 years and met while attending Davis and Elkins College in Elkins West Virginia.  Brian and his wife enjoy many outdoor hobbies and activities together.

In addition to his pursuits in Scouting, Brian is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Delaware Campaign Team Presenter, and Youth Leadership Conference Committee.

Brian is an Eagle Scout, a Brotherhood Member in the Order of the Arrow, and completed Wood Badge as a member of the Beaver Patrol.

We are pleased to welcome Brian and Linda back to Scouting here in south-central Pennsylvania.
