Beat the Fee Summer Membership Campaign

The National Council announced that the National Registration Fee will increase effective August 1, 2020 for all new members and will impact all current members during recharter.  Since COVID-19 ruined most Spring Recruitment plans, we are inviting you to join our July campaign to “Beat the Fee!”

Any new Scout that joins any Scouting program before August 1 SAVES $22.50 on their registration for 2020! (Registration for July 2020 through December 2020 is $30.  Registration for August 2020 through December 2020 is $27.50 + $25 New Member Fee = $52.50 Total)

We encourage any unit, pack, troop, crew, or ship to have Scouts invite their friends to any summer Scouting programs and get them registered!  Fill out a new application right away and get it turned into either Council Service Center.  For units that accept online applications, the online process provides the same discount.

Packs, don’t wait until the fall to register siblings (registering a sibling in July saves a family $17 compared to waiting until September).  In fact, it is cheaper to register a Scout for July through December than it is to register them for December itself ($30 vs. $30.50 – it’s 50 cents, but it’s still a savings!) 

With uncertain times ahead, we want to make sure all units know that early registration is a great way to save on registration fees for your unit and your new Scouting families. 

The discount only applies to applications that are turned in and processed by July 31, 2020.  The discount is only applicable to youth joining a Scouting Program for the first time.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your District Executive.
