This year will mark the first year young women will have earned the highest rank in the Scouts BSA program, the Eagle Scout Award. Those who have completed their Eagle boards of review from Oct. 1, 2020, to Feb. 8, 2021, will be recognized as the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts with their Eagle Scout credentials dated Feb. 8, 2021 — the 111th birthday of the Boy Scouts of America.
To honor Scouts that earned the Eagle Scout rank in 2020, Scout Life magazine will publish a special digital edition, and you can purchase a space in it to congratulate a new Eagle Scout or class of Eagle Scouts. Boys’ Life magazine was renamed Scout Life in the January-February 2021 issue.
While the special edition will highlight the young women joining the ranks of the more than 2.5 million Scouts who have earned the honor since the first Eagle Scout in 1912, it celebrates the entire 2020 class of Eagle Scouts. Families with either a young man or young woman (or both!) who earned the Eagle Scout Award last year are welcome to commemorate their Scout’s achievement in this issue.
In its 110-year-old history, special editions have been a rarity. This is a chance to honor your Eagle Scout in a special digital edition, which will be available to read at scoutlife.org and via the magazine’s app, you can download at the App Store and on Google Play.
