Welcome Back Josh Nimmerichter as Ranger at Camp Tuckahoe

I am pleased to welcome back Josh Nimmerichter, who will be assuming the Facilities Manager/Ranger role at Camp Tuckahoe starting October 18, 2021.

In addition to his work at Tuckahoe, Josh will also oversee maintenance operations at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation. As many Scouters will recall, Josh served as Ranger at Hidden Valley from September 2010 until May 2016.  Josh then accepted a new position as a ranger at Heritage Reservation in the Laurel Highlands Council in May 2016, where he would go on to become the Head Ranger in November 2017 – a role he held until July 2020.

Wanting to be closer to home and family, Josh moved back to the Reading area last summer, where he has been working as a Field Supervisor for Anewalt’s Landscape Contracting.

A graduate of Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Josh brings a wealth of experience as a camp ranger, along with a working knowledge of both Hidden Valley and Tuckahoe, to his new position with our Council.

Josh and current Camp Tuckahoe Ranger, Scott Holbrook, will be working together over the next few months to create a smooth transition when Scott retires on January 30, 2022.

I hope that you will join me in welcoming Josh back to the New Birth of Freedom Council.

Sincerely,

Ronald M. Gardner, Jr.
Scout Executive & CEO
