Jamboree on the Air

Scouts are invited to participate in Jamboree on the Air (JOTA). Jamboree on the Air is a special annual event that attempts to connect Scouts from all over the world.  Below is the invitation to a local event.*  

Again, this year a group of Amateur Radio operators (Hams) will set up on for the JOTA – Jamboree on the air weekend.

When: Saturday, October 19th from 12:00 PM to about 4:00 PM weather and activity depending.

Location: Located Behind the fire house under the pavilion in the rear of 1900 Linglestown Road, Susquehanna Twp.  Enter from Crooked Hill Road turn behind the schoolhouse at the end of the road is an area to park. Parking is free and bathrooms are available.

My staff will provide QSL cards for each contact. A sign in sheet will be there and attempts to talk to other scouts and around the world will be made.   

Scout leaders will need to order badges as needed.
