Klondike Derby

Disaster can strike at any time out in the wilderness. Whenever this happens, we rely on professional Search and Rescue teams to come to our aid. This year, our Klondike Derby’s theme is “To Seek and Save” and your patrol will go through a circuit of Search and Rescue themed challenges to prove your Search and Rescue proficiencies!

Our 2022 “To Seek and Save” Klondike Derby will take place from February 18-20, 2022, at Camp Tuckahoe. The Klondike Derby is open to all Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Cub Scout Arrow of Light Dens. Arrow of Light Dens may participate with the Scouts BSA Troop they’ll be crossing over in to, or they may participate as their own Den in a Cub Scouts division.

Not only will your patrol have the opportunity to demonstrate your Search & Rescue skills, but you’ll also be able to show your strength by competing in our Klondike Derby Sled Race after all the program activities on Saturday.

The fee to attend for the weekend is $10 for Scouts and $5 for Adults before January 24th. On January 24th, fees will increase to $16 for Scouts and $10 for Adults. Registration is done through Tentaroo. Registration includes an event patch, special coin, and any awards your patrol can receive from the program activities and sled race! Read through our Leader’s Guide for more information!
